Hi Everyone! Attached you will find our first "official" monthly newsletter. As Miss Loretta mentioned in the weekly update, a BIG thanks to Barb Cullaj for putting this together for us. Please read over carefully for upcoming information. In particular, please note that Miss Loretta and I have decided that we WILL be participating in this year's Oakmont/Verona Christmas Parade (this was not on the original schedule that was handed out at the orientation in September). This parade is one of our favorites and although we don't find it "ideal" when the parade route runs from Oakmont to Verona, we do want to make an effort to be in this local parade as we are making the effort to be in the other local parades where our twirler's reside. For those of you who would like to be able to get back into Oakmont for the festivities following the parade, we will do our best to get you the best directions for doing so. More information regarding this parade will be forthcoming, but I wanted to let you know so that you can mark your calendars. This parade is on Saturday, November 19th. The parade starts at 5:00. I do not have information regarding line-up time yet, but it will definitely be sometime between 4:00 and 4:30. We hope that the majority of our twirlers will be able to make this parade. However, I understand if other plans were already made being that this was not on the original schedule. Please just let me know if you have a conflict.

October 2016 Newsletter

Greetings to both new and returning Joyful Twirler Families!! It's hard to believe that September is already here! With September, comes the start of school and the start of the Joyful Twirlers' 16th season! WOW! We are excited about the upcoming season and are looking forward to a lot of new changes. We have some new uniforms ordered for some of our classes, a brand new t-shirt to reveal for EVERYONE, and new classes and class times! There are 5 classes scheduled to begin on Monday, September 12th. Each class will begin with an approximately 15-minute parent/twirler orientation. With whatever time remains, we will let the girls get acquainted and start practicing! I will be sending each of you a private e-mail confirming your daughter's class and class time to avoid any confusion. If you are new to the Joyful Twirlers, we do permit parents to sit and watch practices if you would like to do that. Parents of children who are three-years-old are required to stay. However, we prefer that other siblings not be present in the practice room as that can be a distraction. We do have a lobby that is available for parents and family members to sit and wait during class as well. We currently have openings in our Tiny Twirler and Beginner classes. These classes are for girls ages 3-10. I am attaching a flyer that I would encourage you to print/share with your child's school, church, family and friends. If you would like several copies, I would be happy to have them printed for you. We would love to have a few more girls in each of these two classes and would appreciate your assistance in helping us "spread the word"!

Also, we have a new e-mail account. I was having too many problems with the Verizon account after we moved last spring so, for now at least, I will be using this one for Joyful Twirler correspondence. Please make sure to make the changes in your e-mail contacts as well.

Finally, I am still waiting for registration forms for a few of our returning twirlers. These forms need to be completed and turned in prior to the first practice. You are welcome to fill one out when you arrive on the 12th, but doing so before hand will assist us in being able to better prepare for the orientation. Also, please remember that all accounts must be paid in full from previous seasons prior to registering for this one. If you are in need of financial assistance or a payment plan, please call me and we can work something out.
